Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.02% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 10:35AM(IST)on Tuesday in a weak market.

Lupin(up 1.33 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences(up 1.22 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma(up 0.87 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 0.76 per cent) and Biocon(up 0.7 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Gland Pharma(down 1.07 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 0.77 per cent), Cipla(down 0.71 per cent), Pfizer(down 0.65 per cent) and Granules India(down 0.57 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.02 per cent at 12768.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 131.2 points at 17970.0, while the BSE Sensex was down 485.13 points at 60262.18.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, , , PNB and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , , Varanium Cloud Ltd. and Homesfy Realty Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while , , MT Educare, . and Educomp Sols. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
