MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond will host its first District Dialogues event in West Virginia at West Virginia University in the Erickson Alumni Center in Morgantown Wednesday.
The community is encouraged to attend the program, “Unlocking Rural Potential: Identifying and Addressing the Barriers to Rural Investment.” The program will highlight research and data, local expertise, in an open setting to better understand the challenges and opportunities for economic growth and community development in rural areas.
Panelists for the event scheduled from 2 to 5 p.m. include:
Liz Vitullo, assistant vice president of economic innovation, WVU
Andy Bauer, vice president and regional executive, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
Surekha Carpenter, senior research analyst, Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond
Jen Giovannitti, president, Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation
Christy Laxton, executive director, Wyoming Economic Development
The event will also be available virtually via Zoom.
The event is free but registration is required.
The event brings together community members and local, regional and national experts to discuss economic issues affecting the Richmond Fed’s region and beyond.
