Windsor’s mayor says despite the uncertainty of living in the bubble of Donald Trump’s trade war, the city he governs, and all of Canada, continues to push forward and thrive.
According to Drew Dilkens, the U.S. president’s behaviour is bringing an increased level of business interest to his southwestern Ontario border city and beyond.
“The beauty of Donald Trump is the chaos he has created around the world … [It’s] caused companies to look at cities like Windsor and countries like Canada,” he told CBC Radio’s Windsor Morning host Amy Dodge on Monday.
“I want rule of law. I want stability. I want certainty,” Dilkens said are the sentiments he’s hearing from interested international business and trade partners.
