Junk-bond ETFs start the New Year with gains

The iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF was up 0.1%, while the SPDR Bloomberg High Yield Bond ETF was gaining 0.2% in afternoon trade, according to FactSet data, at last check. The ETFs were beating the nearly flat performance of the iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF, which provides broad exposure to U.S. investment-grade bonds.
