Thousands of port workers are threatening to strike starting Tuesday, an action that could have a huge ripple effect throughout the U.S. economy, with items possibly disappearing from store shelves. The strike would impact 36 port locations along the East Coast and Gulf Coast. Flexport CEO Ryan Petersen joins “The Hill,” saying that ports are vital to the economic structure and if they shut down, it’s “bad news.”
